For students in 3rd-5th grade, this fun, and interactive online music history class will go on a journey through the history of Western classical music, studying a new composer or musical era each week. Each weekly 30-minute class will include age-appropriate reading, guided listening with classical music samples, class discussion, and fun quizzes using Kahoot. At the end of each semester, students will be able to do their own research (with the help of a grownup, of course!) and show the class their favorite piece of music from one of the composers we studied that semester.
This class is a full-year course, from September 8th to May 18th, and is open to any student in 3rd-5th grade across the country. The teacher of this class is Miss Mandy.
